MLB Saturday same game parlay (+1036 odds): Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros

Framber Valdez Astros parlay

Saturdays are made for sports and gambling. Between the Euro 2020 soccer, MLB and the NBA playoffs, we have plenty of action today. There are sides, totals and player props to consider but we can’t forget about parlays. I’m not saying we need a ton of them, but a nice +1036 banger never hurt anybody. Especially a same game parlay. The Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros game was the most likely candidate since it is on at a sweet 7:15pm ET spot. On top of that, it’s on Fox. I think I may have found the most perfect, electric way to play it as well. This has a chance of being special.

Let’s take a look at the best options for this showdown and don’t forget to check out our full game preview for picks on the side and total. You can also follow me on Twitter for any other bets I might throw out throughout the day.

Jose Altuve to hit a home run (+410)

If you haven’t seen what Altuve is doing lately, then you are missing out big time. The guy is absolutely tearing the cover off the ball. He has homered in three of his last four games and in one of those games he smacked two. It hasn’t just been recently though. Going back 11 games, he’s had dongs in seven of them. Altuve has already taken Lance Lynn deep twice in his career so that’s not an issue either. I am not the biggest fan of player homer props but at +410 with the way Altuve is swinging the bat, this isn’t crazy.

Houston Astros -2.5 (+230)

Altuve isn’t the only Astros player who is smashing at the moment. Over the last week as a team, the Astros have a .932 OPS. That’s the highest in MLB. They’ve scored 42 runs in that span which is fifth-best in MLB. They draw Lance Lynn tonight and while he has looked good this season with a 1.51 ERA, he can be beaten. In each of his last two starts, the White Sox have lost by at least three runs. Last September when he was with the Rangers, the Astros pummeled him for nine earned runs. This could easily turn into a beating and all we need to happen is the Astros to win by more than three runs and Altuve to smash one. That seems easy enough to me.
