MLB Sunday same game parlay (+1237 odds): Los Angeles Dodgers vs Cincinnati Reds

Clayton Kershaw Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds are finishing up a 3-game series in Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon at 1:10pm ET on TBS. We should bet it. I know it comes on right at kickoff of the NFL but it’s fine. Baseball is one of those sports you can check in on during commercials and really not feel like you missed anything. Keep in mind that halftime of the NFL games feel longer than they should be as well. What are we supposed to watch then? I’d say a same game parlay is in order.

Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (+194) *alt line

The Dodgers are going to win this game so we’re lucky we already know that going in. It makes things so much easier. The question is, by how much? Clayton Kershaw is on the hill for Los Angeles and the Dodgers have won each of his last 3 starts by at least 2 runs. Two of those starts were by at least 4 runs. The haters are going to say that he hasn’t gone more than 4.1 innings in either of his last 2 games and they’re right. But as always, they are forgetting that he hands the ball off to a bullpen that is rocking a 1.87 ERA over the last week. They’ll be fine.

It’s crazy to take a guy to get 3 hits in one game but is it? Yes it is, but it’s not as crazy when that guy is Mookie Betts. He’s riding a 10-game hitting streak at the moment so he’s seeing the ball well. Betts is also getting Wade Miley today, who’s pretty much a pitching machine at this point. He’s not giving up runs, but he’s definitely giving up hits. In 2 of his last 3 starts he’s given up at least 10 hits, which is insane. When he’s done, he’ll hand off to a Reds’ bullpen that has given up 42 hits over their last 51.2 innings of work. That’s actually not bad but the point is they’re not unhittable. The good news is, Betts is 7-14 lifetime against Miley, so he could easily need only 1 hit by the time he sees the Reds’ bullpen. At +650, this isn’t that crazy.
