We have a 12-game slate in Major League Baseball on Thursday, when a handful teams are off in between series. It is also getaway day for many others, resulting in four games being played in the afternoon. The eight others are at night, including a showdown between the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. San Francisco owns a surprising one-game lead in the National League West as it tries to hold off the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres are facing the NL East-leading New York Mets in Thursday’s nightcap. Be sure to check out our picks on the side and total for all of today’s matchups.

Let’s take a look at our three-team mega parlay for Thursday.

Kansas City Royals ML (-125)

San Francisco Giants -1.5 (+160)

New York Mets ML (+155)

Parlay odds: +1093

For this parlay, we are going with one favorite on the run line, one favorite on the money line, and one underdog outright winner. Here is a breakdown of the three legs, one by one.

Kansas City Royals ML over Minnesota Twins (-125)

Minnesota looks like it might be facing a lost season. The Twins are in last place after dropping back-to-back games against Baltimore and there do not appear to be any quick-fix options. At some point, they might start gearing up for the future. Even with injuries, though, their offense has not been the problem. They can’t pitch very well, either. J.A. Happ has been decent, but he is not going to strike fear into Kansas City’s lineup. Whit Merrifield leads the majors in stolen bases and the Royals’ offense is able to beat teams in lots of ways. On the mound, Kris Bubic had success against Minnesota in his last start and he should be able to do it again.

San Francisco Giants -1.5 over Chicago Cubs (+160)

The Giants own sole possession of the best record in the National League, while the Cubs have won 14 of their last 17 games to move into first place in the NL Central. In other words, this should be a good one—especially with Chicago sending Zach Davies to the hill to oppose San Francisco’s Anthony DeSclafani. Outside of getting destroyed by the Dodgers for 10 runs on May 23, DeSclafani has given up three earned runs or less in each of his other 10 starts in 2021. Having had no game yesterday, the Giants’ bullpen is well-rested and they should have everyone available tonight to back up what will likely be a strong performance from DeSclafani.

New York Mets ML over San Diego Padres (+155)

Taijuan Walker has been one of the best free-agent signings in baseball. After the Mets struck out on Trevor Bauer, they signed Walker to a two-year, $20 million deal. He has been worth every penny so far. Walker is 4-1 with a 1.84 ERA in nine starts, and he has given up just one earned run in 22.0 innings across his last four outings. This is a blockbuster matchup with Yu Darvish of the Padres, but it is one that Walker can win. Darvish surrendered four runs in 5.0 innings against the Astros in his most recent appearance. He will have to be better given that he is facing Walker, who is backed up by a stout bullpen.
