MLB Wednesday four-leg mega parlay (+1001 odds): Marlins to cage Cardinals

Sandy Alcantara MLB parlay

Do you know what I love about today? We are getting 15 MLB games. Not just that, but we’re getting some day/night action with seven of the games beginning before 5pm ET. That’s just magic. It’s the kind of day where a MLB parlay is inevitable.

Just when you think it can’t get better, it does. we have a crazy amount of action on television starting with the Marlins/Cardinals at 1pm ET or the Reds/Brewers at 2pm ET depending on your market on MLB Network. After they wrap up, we don’t even have to change the channel because we’re going to either the Pirates/Nationals or the Angels/A’s at 4pm ET. At 7pm, we can switch it to ESPN and see the Red Sox/Braves. Then at 10pm ET, we can go back to MLB Network because they are showing either the Phillies/Dodgers or Twins/Mariners. We have to throw out a MLB parlay today. Our hands are tied.

The point is, today has potential and if this MLB parlay hits, it will go down as a great day. We’ve also got picks on the side and total for all of today’s games.

Miami Marlins ML (-118)

Kansas City Royals ML (-144)

Chicago White Sox ML (-138)

Los Angeles Angels ML (+104)

Parlay odds: +1001

Miami Marlins ML (-118)

This is a fantastic place to start the MLB parlay. It’s still crazy to see the Marlins as favorites on the road but we should get used to it. Within reason. The Marlins’ Sandy Alcantara is 4-5 on the season but he hasn’t been bad. He’s sporting a 3.39 ERA and almost a strikeout per inning which is good enough for me. He’s getting a Cardinals offense with a .672 OPS over the last seven days which is ideal. On the flip side, the Cardinals are sending Johan Oviedo to the hill and he has been a borderline train wreck in his last seven games. In that span, he’s given up at least two earned runs in every game despite not even throwing five innings in six of those starts. I’m backing the Fish.

Kansas City Royals ML (-144)

Backing a team that has won only once in their last 11 games seems crazy. Especially at -144. That just feels reckless but I’m doing it. The Royals are sending Brady Singer to the hill today and he has proved that he can beat the Detroit Tigers. He doesn’t beat many other teams but he can beat the Tigers. Singer has only seven career wins and four of them have been against Detroit. Offense will be the only thing holding Kansas City back today and even though they aren’t great hitting lefties, they should be able to get something going against Tarik Skubal. He’s giving up a .359 WOBA to righties this season and he will see a lot of them in the Royals’ lineup today. I don’t expect a beating but I am thinking the Royals will come away with a W and keep the MLB parlay alive.

Chicago White Sox ML (-138)

I like Ryan Yarbrough of the Tampa Bay Rays and it’s hard to ignore what he’s doing this season. There haven’t been many bad outings and he has a 3.63 ERA to prove it. It’s just that he’s going against Lucas Giolito who has seemed to regain a little form recently. He finished May with a 2.42 ERA and has struck out 30 guys in his last 20 innings pitched. He will be backed by an offense that feasts on left-handed pitching to the tune of an .810 OPS this season. I think the White Sox will be able to somewhat get to Yarbrough, putting just enough runs on the board to walk away winners. When that happens, the MLB parlay will head to the final leg fully intact.

Los Angeles Angels ML (+104)

This one is all about Cole Irwin and the fact that the Angels are hitting the ball well. On the season Irwin has not been horrible with a 3.70 ERA but his xERA is 4.30. He gives up way too many hits and at some point he will have to see an offense that can turn those hits into runs. That offense might be the Los Angeles Angels. Over the last week, they’ve put 33 runs on the board despite playing only five games. Griffin Canning should be able to do enough to keep the hot-hitting A’s in check and if he does, we will win our MLB parlay.
