MLB Tuesday four-leg mega parlay (+1004): Twins to crush Orioles

Nelson Cruz MLB parlay

It’s official, summer is here. What I like to do to ring in the new season, is gamble. We’ve got a full slate of MLB, 15 games in all. That’s plenty to pick through to find something worth betting. We don’t have a ton on national television though which isn’t great but we’ll survive. Fox Sports 1 is showing the White Sox and Indians at 6:10pm ET and MLB Network has the Angels/Giants at 9:45pm ET. This is literally why God made score apps. The best thing to do in a situation like today is throw out an MLB parlay. Here’s what I am thinking about.

Minnesota Twins ML (-164)

Boston Red Sox ML (+112)

Colorado Rockies ML (-116)

Oakland Athletics ML (-152)

Parlay odds: +1004

Minnesota Twins ML (-164)

The Orioles lose games. It’s what they do. They’ve lost their last 14 in a row and while they can’t lose forever, they may not win tonight. They are sending Bruce Zimmerman to the mound and while he hasn’t been terrible, he hasn’t been good either. The thing about Zimmerman is he gives up the long ball. On the season he’s given up 10 in only 43.2 innings pitched. He gets the Twins tonight who are fifth in MLB in dingers. If we are putting an MLB parlay together, I think it should start with the Twins.

Boston Red Sox ML (+112)

The Astros smashed the Red Sox 11-2 yesterday but things may be a little different today. For starters, the Red Sox sent a leftie to the hill in yesterday’s game. That won’t be the case today. The Astros throttle left-handed pitching to the tune of a .791 OPS which is good for second in all of MLB. Versus righties, they slip to seventh in MLB. That doesn’t sound like much and it really isn’t but the Red Sox are tops in MLB in OPS so every little bit helps. The Red Sox belong in the MLB parlay tonight.

Colorado Rockies ML (-116)

Betting the Colorado Rockies has not been the best idea this season if you like money. They’re 20-34 on the season but they get the Texas Rangers tonight who have also been unkind to bettors. At 22-33, they occupy the bottom spot in the NL West. They’ve lost six in a row and are sending Dane Dunning to the bump tonight. Dunning got smoked for seven earned runs by the Los Angeles Angels in his last start and has done little to inspire confidence all season. As bad as the Rockies have been this season, they have a winning record at home this season and are sending ace, German Marquez, to the mound tonight. I think they fit perfectly into our MLB parlay tonight.

Oakland Athletics ML (-152)

This one should bring the MLB parlay home tonight. The first-place Athletics lost a heartbreaker in the bottom of the tenth inning last night to the Seattle Mariners team. It was Seattle’s fifth straight win but I am not sold on this team. They are sending Marco Gonzales to the hill who hasn’t pitched since April 27. He will be on a pitch limit and will likely only go three to four innings in this one. The Mariners’ bullpen is middle of the road and will be tested by the Athletics offense. Oakland should get right tonight and cash this MLB parlay for us.
