It’s a showdown between a couple of MVP candidates tonight as Ja Morant takes his Memphis Grizzlies on the road for a clash with Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks. After coming close on my last 2 bets, I’ve once again prepared a Same Game Parlay.

Tip-off is 8.30 pm ET on NBATV, as soon as the San Antonio Spurs vs Philadelphia 76ers game ends. Saturday’s NBA Predictions cover all 9 games with spread and total picks, but let’s not waste any more time and jump straight into it!

Memphis Grizzlies 1 – 10 Win Margin (+270)

Ja Morant to Score 30+ Points (+142)

Luka Doncic to Score 30+ Points (-138)

Parlay odds: +885

Memphis Grizzlies 1 – 10 Win Margin (+270)

Even though the Mavs won 3 of the 4 regular season meetings last year, the Grizzlies were able to split the series in Dallas winning the 1st duel of the season between the two teams. Ja Morant didn’t play in that one, but it didn’t matter as Desmond Bane led the charge with 29 points. Not only is Morant healthy and playing tonight, but he seems to already be in mid-season form after a 49-point explosion last night in Houston. His team is off to a perfect 2-0 start, and you already have people making a case for Morant to take home MVP honors this season.

The hype is real around this Memphis team and they have an opportunity to show the world that they mean business this time around if they can beat one of the elite defensive teams in the Western Conference. Dallas just wasted a 22-point lead at Phoenix on opening night, they are still adjusting to life without Jalen Brunson. I think Memphis has enough to come out on top in a close game.

Ja Morant to Score 30+ Points (+142)

It’s only been 2 games, but Ja Morant already has the entire NBA buzzing. He opened the season with a 34-point effort against the Knicks on opening night, and then last night he followed it up with a 49-point effort on the road against Houston in what was a spectacular performance. He shot 17-for-26 from the field, and even more impressive he was 5-for-6 from downtown, and to top it all off he also dished out 8 assists to his teammates. He did all that in just 31 minutes played, making it one of the most efficient stat lines we have seen in recent history.

Facing a Dallas team will be a much more difficult challenge, but Ja has shown he is capable of scoring on them as well. In his last game at American Airlines Center he dropped a cool 35 points and that’s without making a single three. More of the same is expected from him tonight and there’s no doubt in my mind that he will deliver yet another memorable performance.

Luka Doncic to Score 30+ Points (-138)

In 4 of his last 5 games against the Grizzlies, Doncic has scored 37, 27, 26 and 29 points. You could see the disappointment on his face as he missed a potential game winning three on opening night against the Suns, after his team let a 22-point lead slip away. Luka will no doubt be motivated to bounce back in front of a packed home arena tonight. Although they are downplaying it, losing Brunson is a big deal for this Mavs team as I firmly believe he was their 2nd best player behind Luka. Christian Wood tried his best to make up for his absence with 25 points off the bench, but I’m not sure how sustainable that is. I think we will see Doncic finishing with 35 points a lot more often this season compared to last. Look for him to carry the Mavs offense tonight as he goes blow for blow against one of the premier young talents we have in the NBA.
