The New Orleans Saints are still mathematically alive for an NFC South title, but they’ll need to knock off the Eagles on Sunday in order to stay within the Panthers or Buccaneers. On the other side, a win locks up the top seed in the NFC for Philadelphia, so this Eagles team has plenty to play for at this stage of the season.

We have 2 NFL picks for this week’s clash between the Saints vs Eagles. Let’s take a look.
Saints vs Eagles point spread pick: Saints +6 (-110)
The Eagles still don’t know if Jalen Hurts will play, but oddmakers are still willing to lay a TD knowing Gardner Minshew could likely start. The Saints are mathematically alive for the NFC South but need help. They are also playing second consecutive road game. The Saints offense has struggled as of late failing to score more than 21 points in each of their last four games. Still, this is a situational spot where you’ll get New Orleans best effort.
The Eagles return back home after three straight road games and should be have a distinct home field advantage. Philly needs one more win to clinch the top seed in the NFC. The Eagles don’t seem to be playing with a sense of urgency knowing that they have all but locked up the top seed in the NFC. While, I had no problem taking points with Minshew last week, but I won’t lay them. The Saints defense will do enough to keep this closer than a TD. The Eagles win, but the Saints cover.

Saints vs Buccaneers over/under totals pick: Over 43.5 (-110)
The Eagles’ offense is still good with Gardner Minshew under center. We saw that last week. They have too many weapons and options for defenses to contend with to get completely shut down. The Saints struggle to stop the run, especially on the road where they allow 145 rushing yards to opposing offenses. That’s the Eagles strength and it will play to their advantage. The question is how much will New Orleans be able to score. The Saints are only averaging 20 points on the road this year and they haven’t scored more than 21 in their last four games. If the Saints can get to 17 I think this goes over. The Eagles feel like they are in cruise control right now and will take the win no matter how they can get it. To me, that means the Saints can do their part.
