As for the Chicago Bears, the only thing they are contending for is the #1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. This NFC North clash is a rematch of a Week 10 thriller in Chicago that Detroit won 31-10.

Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions expert picks
We have 2 NFL picks for this week’s clash between the Bears and Lions. Let’s take a look.
Point spread pick: Bears +6 over Lions (-110)
As mentioned above, these 2 division rivals played to a 1-point Detroit win in Chicago 7 weeks ago, when Bears QB Justin Fields was spectacular in a losing effort. Close losses are nothing out of the ordinary for the Windy City dwellers, who are better than their 3-12 record suggests. Sure, that isn’t saying a lot; but it does say something when it comes to spreads. The Bears haven’t won a whole lot and they may not this weekend, but getting 6 points is an enticing option. Chicago boasts the best rushing offense in the NFL and Detroit is giving up more passing yards at home than any other NFL team. There is a good chance that Fields finds success in both the running and the passing game on Sunday. Let’s go with Chicago plus the points.

Bears vs Lions over/under totals pick: Over 52.5 (-110)
The last time the Bears and Lions met, 60 points were scored. This is the highest total of the week, but it may not matter given the makeup of these 2 teams. It’s hard to see Detroit containing Fields, who rushed for 147 yards in the previous head-to-head matchup. To say that the former Ohio State standout was unstoppable on the ground would be a gross understatement. On the other side of the ball, there is no reason to think the Bears will stop the Lions’ prolific offense. In fact, Chicago has the absolute worst rushing defense in the league to go along with its #1 rushing offense. It is also worth noting that the Lions are averaging nearly 270 passing yards per game at home behind QB Jared Goff. We are going with the over in what has all the makings of an entertaining shootout.
