Monday night’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints is marred with injuries on both sides of the ball. Baltimore will be without All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews and starting WR Rashod Bateman, to go along with RB Gus Edwards being doubtful. The Saints will be missing CB Marshon Lattimore and RB Mark Ingram. These injuries should present opportunities for other players, so let’s look at what’s available.

Lamar Jackson over 9.5 rush attempts (-135)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

This is a little more chalk than I normally would give out, but the advantages seem to be limited in this game, so I’ll lay the juice. The Ravens will be without Gus Edwards and Mark Andrews, putting even more pressure on Lamar Jackson to keep the chains moving. He’s hit this in 4 of his last 6 games and finished on the hook in one of those. Jackson in primetime is something special. He’s 11-4 straight up for his career and if we correlate that to rush attempts in wins vs losses this season, he’s hit this in 3/5 wins this season.

Tonight, the Ravens will need him more than ever to make plays with his feet to maintain their one-game lead on the Bengals in the AFC North. The Saints really only faced one mobile QB this season in Marcus Mariota, and he scampered for 12 rushes and 72 yards. I’ll play 1 unit on this.

Chris Olave over 63.5 receiving yards (-115)

Line available at Caesar’s Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Chris Olave will line up against Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphreys for most of the game. The Ravens do a good job of switching between man and zone coverages, but Peters really lacks the talent to play in zone. Olave, on the other hand, has been productive against both man and zone defenses all season, making him a great player to target tonight. He’s averaging an outstanding 14.8 yards per reception and an aDOT of 16.2.  Olave should be able to pick up yardage in big chunks against this Baltimore secondary.

Jarvis Landry should return this week but operates primarily out of the slot. The rest of the Saints WR corps is a rag-tag bunch that consists of Marquez Callaway, Tre’Quan Smith and Rashid Shaheed. If the Ravens get up early, Dalton will be forced to go pass-heavy and Olave is his number 1 target. The rookie WR is running routes on 95% of his snaps this season and has a 30+ yard reception in 4/7 games this year. Marcus Peters, on the other hand, has been burned several times in 2022. He’s allowed receptions of 26+ in 5/7 games. I’m expecting Olave to have a breakout performance tonight in primetime. 1U from me and consideration for an alt line up to 90+.
