About Last Night

Yankees beat Mets to sweep Subway Series Part 2
The Yankees were once again victorious over the Mets last night, winning 4-2 and giving them success in both games at Yankee Stadium. That ties up the season series at 2-2. Will we see these teams meet again in the World Series? As for Pickswise, it was a solid day at the office with a +309 parlay win on Braves -1.5, Giants ML and Marlins ML. Let’s go one better — check out today’s MLB mega parlay (+867 odds).

Nets NBA championship odds improve after KD withdraws trade request
There was a big shift on the NBA futures markets yesterday, as Durant officially withdrew his trade request from the Nets. That immediately made Brooklyn a contender again for the 2022-23 season, and sportsbooks were quick to react. The Nets are now +750 to win the NBA Championship — half of what they were less than 2 weeks ago. Get our full Durant trade reaction.

Today’s Slate

MLB action all day long
We have a great MLB slate today with 14 games taking place. The Braves and Pirates get the party started at 12:35 pm ET, and we will see action right the way through to the Brewers vs Dodgers nightcap at 9:00 pm ET. Be sure to read all of our MLB predictions for today’s games.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Texas Rangers ML over Colorado Rockies
9:40 pm ET

The Rangers opened this game as only minor favorites, which is baffling considering they have their ace, Martin Perez, on the mound going against the Rockies’ Jose Urena. Perez has revitalized his career in Texas this season as he’s posted a 2.80 ERA and a 3.32 xERA through 148 innings. He’s had a solid second half of the season, and he is coming off a decent start against the Twins, but 2 home runs dampened his solid outing. However, he’s fortunate to have his offense facing Urena, who has been terrible this season. The Rockies are only minor underdogs due to their solid lefty-hitting lineup and playing at home, but they are overvalued in this matchup. Go with the Rangers. Be sure to read our full Rangers vs Rockies predictions.
