Good morning, Pickswise Nation. We finally have a short break from the MLB postseason, but the NBA is back with a solid slate of games. We also have midweek action in Week 9 in college football plus a primetime NHL game and UEFA Champions League action. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

  • The Diamondbacks won their first pennant since 2001, edging out the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS on the road. The Pickswise team finished the NLCS and ALCS on a ridiculous 21-5 MLB props run. Let’s keep it going in the World Series!
  • The NBA season is underway and our handicapping team started strong, cashing our Suns/Warriors Same Game Parlay at +444 odds!
  • We also went 2-0 in college football on Tuesday, hitting our NCAAF parlay at +300 odds
  • As part of today’s massive NHL slate, our expert cashed our 3-leg mega parlay at +927 odds!

Today’s Slate

Best Bet of the Day

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder ML over Chicago Bulls (+100)
8:00pm ET

Oklahoma City looks primed to be more competitive this season. Shai-Gilgeous Alexander is already a star and now they get to work last year’s top pick Chet Holmgren into the mix. He is of the unicorn variety and I am excited about his impact, especially early, before the pounding he is going to take builds up. OKC should be in the playoffs picture in the West this season. Meanwhile, Chicago is in limbo. It is clear the trio of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are a productive group but the wins have not followed. They are too good to sink to the very bottom of the NBA, even if that might be the best approach to eventually being championship-worthy in the future. Check out our full Thunder vs Bulls predictions.

Julius Randle is averaging 30 points per game against the Celtics in the last 4 meetings against Boston, while shooting 50% from the field and over 38% from beyond the 3-point arc.
