Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins Under 8 (-105)
7:10 pm ET, BSDT

Sonny Gray has an ERA barely over 2.00 for the Twins. He has made 13 starts and has accumulated an ERA of 2.25 ERA . This spot also involves one of the most profitable spots in baseball: Gray at home. The right-hander has made 7 starts at Target Field this season and has posted a 1.71 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP. Opponents are hitting just .226 with a .576 OPS in that time, and — to no surprise — that has resulted in a lot of low-scoring games. The under has hit in 5 of Gray’s 7 starts at home this season, with an average total of just 7 runs per game. Just as Gray is great at home, Matthew Boyd of the Tigers is awesome on the road. Boyd has a 2.93 ERA and .184 opponent BA on the road compared to an 8.46 ERA and a .301 opponent BA at home. All signs point to the under in this contest. Check out our full Tigers vs Twins predictions.

Stat of the Day

Ryan Weathers of the Padres ranks in just the 9th percentile for strikeout percentage and the 6th percentile for chase rate so far this season.

Quote of the Day

I’m not a great player at playing a course by memory. I’m not saying I’m better at playing a course blind, but sometimes it’s nice not to know where the trouble is. You just sort of react to your targets out there and you really get into your shots. So sometimes I don’t feel like it’s that much of a disadvantage.”
