The Super Bowl is approaching and we had a wild day of trades in the NBA on Thursday, but in between we have another fantastic Friday of sports ahead of us. There’s NBA, NHL, college basketball, and Winter Olympics on the schedule, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Harden heads to the Sixers on wild deadline day
The action on the courts was almost secondary to the huge trades going down on Thursday with James Harden (76ers) and Kristaps Porzingis (Wizards) making the headlines. The Suns moved to 45-10 by beating the Bucks, but the Knicks upset the Warriors 116-114.

NHL mega parlay cashes
There’s nothing better than a mega parlay cashing, and we hit one at +1247 odds yesterday with the Hurricanes, Capitals, and Penguins all on the puck line. The Avs beat the Lightning 3-2 to bounce back from their upset by the Coyotes.

Boilermakers beaten by Wolverines
The big college hoops shock on Thursday night saw #3 Purdue losing 82-58 to Michigan despite having been a -3 favorite.

Today’s Slate

7-game slate in the NBA
We have 7 games in the NBA tonight, with Nuggets vs Celtics at 7:3o pm ET on NBA TV. Read previews of all today’s NBA games.

Coyotes hunting another upset
There are only 4 games in the NHL, with the Coyotes aiming for another upset against the Lightning at 9:30 pm ET. Read today’s NHL game previews.

There’s also college hoops and Winter Olympics
You can check out our picks for today’s top college basketball games, with Xavier taking on UConn at 7:00 pm ET on FS1. We also have a pick for today’s Winter Olympics action, which includes a pick for tonight’s hockey game between the United States and Canada (11:10 pm ET).

Best Bet of the Day

Islanders vs Oilers Under 5.5
9:00 pm ET, ESPN+

The Islanders have had a tough time finding the back of the net all season. Even though they are average at generating pressure, they rank 29th in goals per game and have the 24th-ranked powerplay. The Oilers are one of the better offensive teams statistically, however they’ve scored just 1 goal in 2 games since the break and have now fired their head coach. Don’t anticipate the Oilers’ recent goal drought to stop against the Islanders. The Islanders are a top-10 defensive team and projected starter Ilya Sorokin ranks 12th in goals saved above expected. A defense-first Islanders team and a struggling Oilers offense points to taking the under. Read our full game preview for Islanders vs Oilers.

Stat of the Day

The Winnipeg Jets have won 2 of their last 3 games after losing 6 straight.

Boost of the Day

Caris LeVert & Tyrese Haliburton to combine for 40+ points

There will be new faces on both teams as the Cavs play the Pacers tonight (7:00 pm ET, ESPN). Caris LeVert faces his former team, the Pacers, in his 2nd game for Cleveland, while Indiana has acquired Tyrese Haliburton from the Kings. DraftKings Sportsbook has boosted odds of them scoring 40 or more points between them from +200 to +230.
