Good morning, Pickswise Nation. We have another fantastic Friday of sports ahead with a big day of baseball, the Wimbledon men’s semifinals (well, semifinal) and MLS games. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

YRFI or NRFI? They both won!
Pickswise has added a new analysis article to our MLB coverage, with daily predictions for the popular 1st-inning run markets and whether you’re a Yes Run First Inning (YRFI) or No Run First Inning (NRFI) kind of bettor, we had the picks for you yesterday as Keith Schmelter went 2-0 with a YRFI win and a NRFI win! There was only one shutout on Thursday, but it was an emphatic one as the Mets crushed the Marlins 10-0, while the Yankees reached 60 wins with a 6-5 victory over the Red Sox.

Jabeur reaches Wimbledon final to keep +900 best bet alive
Ons Jabeur secured a semifinal victory over Tatjana Maria to advance to the Wimbledon women’s singles final, and in doing so keeping our 3-star bet alive! Tennis guru Ricky Dimon picked her has his best bet at +900 to win the tournament, and the Tunisian is now just one win away from doing just that.

Today’s Slate

Big day of baseball
We have a full slate of 15 MLB games today, with the Rays and Reds getting things started on ESPN+ at 6:40 pm ET. Apple TV+ is showing Pirates vs Brewers at 8:10 pm ET and Blue Jays vs Mariners at 10:10 pm ET. Read today’s MLB game previews.

There’s tennis and MLS too
We have just one Wimbledon men’s semifinal now after Rafael Nadal was forced to withdraw due to injury, handing the controversial Nick Kyrgios a place in Sunday’s final, but Ricky Dimon has the best bet for Novak Djokovic’s game against Cameron Norrie. The weekend MLS slate gets started with 3 games tonight including the LA El Trafico derby between the Galaxy and LAFC. Read today’s soccer predictions.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays ML vs Cincinnati Reds
6:40 pm ET

The Rays have a great chance to pick up another win as Shane McClanahan gets the nod for this game. McClanahan has been dominant this season and has established himself as an early front-runner for the Cy Young Award. He has a 9-3 record on the season to go along with a 1.74 ERA, ranking towards the top of the league in nearly every important metric. The Reds actually fare much better against lefties than righties, but McClanahan’s dominance should be able to overpower their lineup. The Rays have the edge in every aspect of this game, so take the visitors to grab the win. Read our full game preview for Rays vs Reds.

Quote of the Day

“I think it doesn’t make sense to play and I feel very sad to say that. I have tried a lot of times in my career to keep going but it is obvious the injury will get worse.”

Rafael Nadal makes the announcement that he is withdrawing from Wimbledon due to injury after reaching the semifinals.
