Welcome to another wonderful week of sports. The NBA Playoffs are in full swing and we also have MLB, NHL and soccer action to entertain us today. Let’s get straight into making your next bet better!

About Last Night

NBA mega parlay cashes for second straight day!
Andrew Ortenberg cashed our Saturday NBA mega parlay at +1148 odds and he did it again on Sunday, with an awesome +1093 odds payout. Ricky Dimon added to a super Sunday for Pickswise with a +1000 first basket win on Mikal Bridges in the Suns vs Pelicans game, as we also went 4-0 on totals.

Nuggets, Pelicans shine on Sunday
The Denver Nuggets avoided becoming the first team eliminated from the NBA Playoffs with a series-saving 126-121 home win over the Warriors on Sunday. The Pelicans also won as home dogs, beating the Suns 118-103 to level up the series. The Bucks (vs Bulls) and Heat (vs Hawks) both won on the road to go 3-1 up in their series. The Warriors are +280 favorites for the championship at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Celtics +460 and the Suns and Heat both at +550.

MLB team goes 10-5 on sides
The early starts of the Sunday MLB games seemed to suit our cappers, who went 10-5 on sides. That included Dylan Ruhl having the courage to pick the Pittsburgh Pirates as a +145 ML underdog to beat the Chicago Cubs just a day after they had lost 21-0 to the same team! The Pirates won 4-3 to take the series. The Brewers beat the Phillies 1-0 on Sunday Night Baseball.

NHL Best Bets run reaches 13-3
Our 3-star play of over 6.5 goals in Oilers vs Blue Jackets took our remarkable run of NHL Best Bets to 13-3 in the last 16, including 6 wins in the last 7. The news was worse for the Capitals than just the scoreline of their 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs, as star Alex Ovechkin suffered an upper-body injury.

Today’s Slate

Celtics aiming to sweep Nets
The Celtics are 1-point road underdogs as they bid to close out a series win over the Nets in the shortest possible time (7:00pm ET, TNT). The 76ers can also progress tonight if they win their Game 5 against the Raptors (8:00pm ET, NBA TV), while the Jazz and Mavericks are tied at 2-2 heading into their 9:30pm ET matchup on TNT. Read our preview of all today’s NBA games.

7 MLB games on the schedule
It’s a little quieter in MLB today, with only 7 games on the slate, but a pair of division leaders begin an interesting series as the Mets go to the Cardinals (7:45pm ET), while Dodgers vs Diamondbacks is being shown on ESPN+ at 9:40pm ET. Read our preview of all today’s baseball games.

Flyers and Blackhawks in the spotlight
We have just one NHL game today, with Flyers vs Blackhawks on ESPN+ at 8:oo pm ET. Check out our preview of today’s NHL game.

Best Bet of the Day

Dallas Mavericks -3 vs Utah Jazz
9:30 pm ET, TNT

If the Jazz want to advance, their 3-point shooting will have to improve. They are making only 9.2 threes per game (down from 14.5 during the regular season), and they have a problem with Rudy Gobert as the Mavs are exposing him on defense. The Mavs lost a close one in Game 4, but at least they got their best player back as Luka Doncic notched a 30-point triple-double. The crowd is going to be a factor as we get deeper in this series, so playing in front of their own fans should do the Mavs good tonight. They’ve won 7 of their last 8 home games and they are one of the most reliable teams when it comes to covering the spread, with a 24-17-2 ATS record. Take the Mavs to cover. Check out our full preview of Jazz vs Mavericks.
