Good morning, Pickswise Nation. We have a super Sunday of sport ahead with a full MLB slate, plus MLS, NASCAR, F1 and Premier Lacrosse League action. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

A rocky game for the Dodgers
The Dodgers have a 12-game lead in the NL West but they were taken down by the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, with the home team winning 5-3. Aaron Judge hit his 200th home run as the Yankees beat the Royals 8-2 and the Mets won their 5th straight game, 4-0 over the Marlins. The Nationals caused an upset with a 7-6 win over the Cardinals.

Today’s Slate

A busy afternoon of baseball
We have a 15-game slate of MLB today, with a ton of afternoon action. It starts early, with Peacock showing Tigers vs Blue Jays at 12:05 pm ET, while Diamondbacks vs Braves is on ESPN+ at 1:35 pm ET. Sunday Night Baseball sees the Cubs taking on the Giants at 7:00pm ET on ESPN. Check out our picks for all today’s MLB action.

Chance for PLL strugglers to make ground
Motivation should not be lacking in today’s 2 Premier Lacrosse League games, with none of the teams in action currently having a winning record. The 1-5 Cannons play the 3-3 Waterdogs on ESPN+ at 1:00 pm ET with the 1-5 Chaos taking on the 2-4 Redwoods at 3:30pm ET, also on ESPN+. Check out our picks for all today’s PLL action.

There’s MLS, NASCAR and F1 too

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Texas Rangers ML vs LA Angels
4:07 pm ET

The Rangers are 4-10 in their last 14 games, but fortunately for them, the Angels have been even worse. The Angels have been on an ugly downward spiral to the point where they are reportedly entertaining offers for Shohei Ohtani. Against the spread, the Rangers are 33-20 on the road and 58-42 overall. The Angels are 22-29 ATS and 43-58 overall. In addition to performing better both overall and head-to-head in 2022, the Rangers have beaten up on today’s Angels’ starter Reid Detmers. He has faced Texas 3 times and allowed 13 earned runs in 13 innings pitched. Check out our full preview of Rangers vs Angels.
