About Last Night

Duke the new NCAA Tournament favorite after reaching Final Four
The NCAA Tournament seeding proved more accurate than the betting on the first game of the Elite 8, as #5 Houston lost 50-44 in a real grinder against #2 Villanova, which had been a +2.5 underdog. A #2 seed also punched a ticket to the Final Four in the later game, as Duke beat Arkansas 78-69 — cashing our best bet of Duke -4. Duke has become the latest favorite to win the championship at +180 with FanDuel Sportsbook, which has Kansas at +190, Villanova at +400, and North Carolina at +700.

Parlay and both 3-star plays cash in the NBA!
Our NBA team had a super Saturday, comfortably cashing both best bets on the Nets -3 and the Rockets -4.5; both teams won by at least 15 points! Our Saturday parlay of Raptors, Grizzlies, and Rockets all to cover came in at +612 odds!

Canadiens upset Maple Leafs
There were some interesting games on Saturday’s big NHL slate, including the Maple Leafs losing to 4-2 to the Canadiens, while the Flames and Oilers always sounded like an explosive mix and so it proved. They served up a combined 14 goals, with the Flames winning 9-5.

Today’s Slate

Saint Peter’s bidding for another upset
Only 6 teams remain in March Madness, including #15, #10 and #8 seeds, who all play today. First #10 Miami takes on #1 Kansas (2:20pm ET, CBS), before the Cinderella team — the Saint Peter’s Peacocks — meets North Carolina for the last place in the Final Four (5:05 pm ET, CBS). Check out our picks for today’s college basketball.

Kyrie’s homecoming in Boston
There are 87 games in the NBA today, with the NBA TV cameras understandably drawn to the Hornets vs Nets game (7:30 pm ET) as Kyrie Irving is set to play his first home game in Brooklyn this season. Read our previews of all today’s NBA games.

8 games in the NHL
There are 8 Sunday games in the NHL, with Lightning vs Islanders getting things started on TNT at 2:00 pm ET. Check out our picks for all today’s NHL action.

NASCAR, F1, and soccer, too!
The NASCAR field are rolling again this afternoon, so don’t miss our picks for the Echo Park Grand Prix. There’s an interesting-looking grid for F1’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, too, and we have picks for that event. We also have previews for today’s MLS soccer and World Cup qualifiers including Panama vs USA.

Best Bet of the Day

Phoenix Suns -5 vs Philadelphia 76ers
6:00 pm ET

With 4 wins in 5 games, the Philadelphia 76ers are top of the Eastern Conference and control their own fate when it comes to playoff seeding. However, they face the toughest possible opponent today. Everything is clicking for the Phoenix Suns. Chris Paul is back, they are the first team to hit 60 wins in the NBA this season, they have clinched home-court advantage throughout the postseason, and Devin Booker is playing at an elite level. The Suns have won 7 in a row and are 13-3 SU in their last 16 at home. It’s hard to see anyone beating this team, and they match up well with the 76ers at every position. They have won 30 of 38 home games, so beating the Sixers by 6 points is very realistic. Check out our full preview of 76ers vs Suns.
