About Last Night

Hurricanes, Lightning, Oilers advance
The NHL was in the Saturday spotlight with the NBA taking a day off, and there was no shortage of drama in the 3 Game 7s. The Hurricanes beat the Bruins 3-2, the Lightning gave the Maple Leafs more playoff misery with a 2-1 road win and the Oilers came through 2-0 at home against the Kings. The Carolina ML win cashed the only 3-star play on the slate for Pickswise.

Streaks of Yankees and Astros snapped
It was a Saturday of shattered streaks in MLB, with the Yankees losing for the first time in 6 games in a 3-2 defeat by the White Sox, while the Astros said goodbye to an 11-game winning run with a 13-6 loss to the Nationals. JutPicks went 2-1 on his MLB prop plays, giving us a 5-1 record with our last 6.

Best Bet of the Day

Under 207.5 in Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics
3:30 pm ET, ABC

Game 7s are usually scrappy and slower-paced, as the teams have usually figured out what their opponents’ tendencies are by now. These are the 2nd and 4th-best defenses in the playoffs in terms of points allowed per game, and Robert Williams III is likely to return to provide additional help for the interior of the Celtics’ defense. The Bucks should also step up their intensity on that end after allowing at least 107 points in the last 3 games. The total has gone under in 9 of their last 11 games, while for Boston that’s happened 6 times in their last 9. It might not look pretty at times, but elimination games are like that. Go with the under. Check out our full preview of Bucks vs Celtics.
