Good morning, Pickswise Nation! It’s draft day in the NBA and we also have a MLB slate and PGA Tour golf to entertain us before we discover who’s going to be the first pick. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Kadri takes Avs 1 win from NHL title
The Lightning had a chance to level the Stanley Cup Final on home ice last night, but Nazem Kadri’s overtime goal gave the Avalanche a huge 3-2 road win and a 3-1 series lead. Colorado is now a -1250 favorite with FanDuel Sportsbook to win the Stanley Cup, with the defending champions +900 to somehow turn it around.

Amazing 13-2 day of MLB picks!
There were 15 MLB games on Wednesday and the Pickswise team gave winning picks for the money line or run line for 13 of them! With a record like that it’s not surprising that we also cashed our MLB parlay for the second time in 3 days at +475 odds after a +479 win on Monday. On top of that, we went 3-0 on MLB props thanks to Javan Shouey and Mark Zinno. Aaron Judge hit 2 home runs to give the Yankees a series win over the Rays with a 5-4 win, while the Guardians scored 4 runs in the 9th to beat the Twins 11-10.

Today’s Slate

Afternoon action in MLB
The MLB slate is a little smaller today but we still have 10 games to enjoy, with 7 of them in the afternoon. Cubs vs Pirates is live on ESPN+ at 12:35 pm ET. Read today’s MLB game previews.

There’s golf and the NBA Draft too
Pickswise golf analyst Diane Knox Balas has had 10/1 and 30/1 wins in the last 2 weeks, so check out her picks for the Travelers Championship. The NBA Draft is being shown on ABC and ESPN at 8:00 pm ET, with Paolo Banchero currently -190 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook to be the first pick, with Jabari Smith Jr. at +145. Read our  latest NBA Draft content here.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Minnesota Twins ML vs Cleveland Guardians
1:10 pm ET

After contesting some close games to begin this series, these AL Central foes are closing things out with the division lead on the line. The Twins will have Devin Smeltzer on the mound for the finale, which looks to be a great matchup for them. The lefty didn’t get his first start this season until mid-May, but he is 3-1 on the year and should be excited about today’s game as the Guardians are the 2nd-worst lineup against left-handed pitching. His very first start of the season was against the Guardians, and he allowed just a single run off 3 hits. Check out our full preview for Guardians vs Twins.
