Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Sunday, 10/12/25

One of the more under-the-radar games on the NFL Week 6 slate comes in the NFC, where the Dallas Cowboys will travel to Charlotte for a date with the Carolina Panthers. Both of these teams are coming off very solid performances in wins a week ago, but I’m much more bullish on Dallas’ offense from a season-long perspective, and the gap between these teams should reveal itself in this one.

For starters, Dallas has had a much tougher schedule to this point and despite having to face the likes of the Packers, Eagles, Bears and Giants — all teams with strong defensive fronts — this Cowboys offense has continued to be one of the most efficient units in football. Dak Prescott is performing at a very high level, the wideouts have stepped up in CeeDee Lamb’s absence and the ground game is better than Dallas could have possibly hoped for at the start of the season. There’s a reason that this is the highest-graded offense in a number of metrics, and a Panthers defense that is 23rd in EPA per play is a unit that is certainly susceptible to allowing plenty of explosiveness from an opponent that can certainly create chunk plays. On the other side, while the Panthers are fresh off a big win over the Dolphins, the success of their ground game in that matchup — the biggest reason why Carolina got the win — came against the worst rush defense in football. Even with Dallas’ porous run defense, this is still a step-up in class on Sunday. I’ll lay the points with the Cowboys.

Regardless of which teams comes out on top in this game, I’m expecting a high-scoring contest in Charlotte on Sunday. Both of these offenses are certainly capable of putting up points, as we’ve seen all season long. In fact, the Cowboys are ranked 3rd in EPA per play and 6th in success rate on offense, while also sitting inside the top 10 in EPA per pass and EPA per rush.

As for the hosts, Carolina’s offense has been a bit inconsistent over the course of this season, but the Panthers have racked up 92 points over their last 4 games, good for an average of 23 points per game. That’s more than enough to get us over the total, assuming the Cowboys take care of business on their end. Additionally, both offenses are about middle of the pack when it comes to turnover percentage on the year, which gives me confidence that we likely won’t see too many mistakes in this one, another key for an over. At anything under 51, the over is the way to go.
