Minnesota Vikings vs New York Giants Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 12/21/25

This is not a game that means all that much in the grand scheme of things, but it does feature a hot team that is a little overpriced in the market following a couple of strong performances in recent weeks. After sitting out for a week following a string of bad performances, J.J. McCarthy did his job last week, as the second-year quarterback torched one of the worst secondaries in football for a really nice win over Dallas on the road. Now, he will draw one of the worst defenses against the run per DVOA, and one which has given up plenty of yards on the ground all season long. However, the Vikings have gotten a bit too expensive now that Minnesota is laying a full 3 points on the road. McCarthy is certainly improving, but it remains to be seen if his performance in recent weeks was largely due to the favorable indoor conditions in a pair of domes, or if the young quarterback has finally put it together.

On the other side, Jaxson Dart is back at quarterback for the hosts and the rookie has been productive when he’s been able to stay healthy under center this season. Dart will be taking on a blitz-heavy Vikings defense that had great success early in the season, but has faltered coming down the stretch. The Giants have consistently hung tough against NFC competition this season, with New York covering the number in recent games against Green Bay, Detroit and Chicago. Ultimately, this should be a one-score game in an environment where Dart and the Giants run game should thrive, while the Vikings passing game could struggle a bit outdoors.
