Patriots vs Giants Pickswise Expert Predictions
The final week of the NFL preseason includes a Thursday night matchup between the New England Patriots and New York Giants in New York. It projects to be a high-scoring affair based on what we have seen so far from these 2 clubs, so my Patriots vs Giants prediction is Over 38.
New England went wild in its opener against the Washington Commanders, winning 48-18. Multiple different quarterbacks have played well. Starter Drake Maye has played sparingly, but Josh Dobbs and Ben Wooldridge got plenty of action and capitalized on it. In the first 2 games, Dobbs and Wooldridge took turns exceeding 100 passing yards with a TD and no INTs. Meanwhile, New York has been absolutely lighting up the scoreboard. The G-Men beat the Buffalo Bills 34-25 and crushed the New York Jets 31-12. Jaxson Dart, the #25 pick in this year’s draft, went 12-of-19 for 154 yards with 1 TD against Buffalo. He completed 14 of 16 attempts for 137 yards and a touchdown against the Jets. Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito combined to go 23-of-32 for 163 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason opener. So it isn’t just Dart. Give me the Over.
