MLB Picks Today: Expert Predictions & Best Bets for Friday, July 10, inc. Blue Jays vs Padres
The 2026 Major League Baseball season keeps rolling along with another loaded slate of games on Friday, July 10. The 15-game card includes a couple of intriguing matchups, including an Apple TV doubleheader featuring Red Sox vs Mets at 7:15 pm ET and Braves vs Cardinals at 8:15 pm ET. The action gets underway at 6:40 pm ET with a matchup between the Brewers and Pirates as they get their series started. Let's break down my MLB best bets for Friday, July 10, while you can also find out our expert MLB picks for EVERY GAME today and throughout the entire 2026 campaign!
MLB best bet: Miami Marlins ML over Cleveland Guardians (-115)
Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing. Playable to -125.
While most of the focus in the National League is on the Dodgers and Brewers these days, the Marlins have been one of the best teams in the NL over the last couple of weeks. Winners of 8 of its last 10 games, Miami is currently tied for 2nd place in the NL East, and its strong run of form should continue against the Guardians on Friday, especially since the Marlins are a top-10 offense since June 1 and they'll be going up against a Cleveland bullpen that has struggled of late.
On the other side, the Marlins will send longtime starter Sandy Alcantara to the mound, and he's allowed 3 or fewer runs in 7 of his last 10 outings, including just 2 runs allowed in his last 14 innings pitched at home. Ultimately, I'll back Miami as short home favorites.

MLB best bet: Toronto Blue Jays vs San Diego Padres over 7.5 (-114)
Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing. Playable to -125.
An interleague matchup highlights the late-night slate on Friday, and it features a red-hot Blue Jays team against a Padres side that could really use a win after a brutal stretch of form. Neither of these starting pitchers inspires much confidence, which is part of why I'm expecting both offenses to see success in this one. JP Sears holds an ERA of 4.70 but his expected ERA sits at 5.90, to go along with a whopping 50% hard-hit rate and .277 expected batting average.
On the other side, Shane Bieber is getting the ball for Toronto, and the veteran starter has struggled mightily to this point — as he currently holds a 9.00 ERA while allowing 13 runs in as many innings pitched this season. With that in mind, I'll target the over on Friday.
