The Pittsburgh Pirates will be looking to get the win in their four-game series against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday evening. The Pirates had won the first two games of the series before being blown out on Wednesday night. The Pirates will have a good chance to get the win as they are sending Paul Skenes to the mound. Skenes has not been his usual self as he has given up four or more runs in his last two starts. However, on any given day it is expected that he will go out and dominate. The Cubs will be countering with Colin Rea, who has been very average in his recent stretch of play. He has allowed three or more earned runs in his last three starts, and has a 4.83 ERA in 54.0 innings pitched on the season. Brian Reynolds and Nick Gonzales have very good numbers against him, look for them to get involved in the scoring for the Pirates.
