White Sox vs Giants Pickswise Expert Predictions

Game Totals Pick
Over 8.5(-105)

The Chicago White Sox will look to stay hot Saturday afternoon after a strong 9-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants Friday night. Chicago has now won seven of its last 10 games, while the Giants continue to trend in the opposite direction, dropping four straight and seven of its last 10 overall. Taking the mound for the White Sox will be Erick Fedde, who is still searching for his first win of the season, entering at 0-4 with a 4.30 ERA. For the Giants, they’ll hand the ball to Adrian Houser who is 2-4 this season with a 5.25 ERA.

Chicago’s offense has been the biggest difference lately. Over their last 10 games, the White Sox are averaging 5.6 runs per game while batting .241. Meanwhile, the Giants are averaging just 3.8 runs and hitting .239 during that same stretch. The Giants pitching has also been a major issue lately, posting a 5.10 ERA in their last 10 games. The White Sox pitching hasn’t been dominant either, carrying a 4.75 ERA over that span, but Chicago has been able to overcome it with timely hitting and more consistent offensive production. Neither starting pitcher inspires a ton of confidence entering this matchup, which is why I’m leaning towards the over. Even though Houser has been more reliable as of late, I expect both teams to put up enough runs early on, making the over my best bet of the day.

White Sox vs Giants prediction: Over 8.5 (-105) at the time of publishing. Playable to -120.
