I favor the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Minnesota Twins when they face off Saturday afternoon. Pittsburgh won Game 1 of this series on Friday thanks to a 2-run walk off home run from Bryan Reynolds in what was an entertaining game with quick offensive starts from both sides and several lead changes. Mitch Keller is set to start for Pittsburgh on Saturday, marking his 12th trip to the mound this season. Through his first 64.1 innings of work, the veteran right-hander has posted a solid 3.64 ERA, and his 3.47 FIP supports that success. Furthermore, Keller has been extremely tough on right-handed batters, which should help against Byron Buxton atop Minnesota’s order. Overall, Minnesota sits 18th in wOBA with a 97 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season.

Bailey Ober is set to start for the Twins for the 12th time this year. Through 62 innings of work, the 6-foot-9 right-hander has posted a 3.92 ERA, though his 4.48 FIP is less encouraging and his recent form is not the sharpest. Ober has allowed 4 home runs in his last 2 starts and at least 1 home run in 5 of his last 6 starts. He ranks 1st percentile in fastball velocity, yet fills the zone with strikes early and often.
