Yankees vs Royals Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
NY Yankees Win(-155)

The New York Yankees have dominated the Kansas City Royals in recent years, winning 20 of their last 25 matchups, and they’ll look to keep that success going tonight behind their ace. The Yankees will hand the ball to Gerrit Cole, who was fantastic in his first start back off the IL this season, pitching six scoreless innings, striking out two and only giving up two hits. For the Royals, they’ll hand the ball to the left-hander, Noah Cameron who enters with a 2-3 record, 4.72 ERA, and a 1.45 WHIP through nine starts this season.

The Yankees offense finally broke out in a massive way last night, exploding for 15 runs on 24 hits. That performance could be exactly what this lineup needed after struggling offensively for much of May. New York has also been strong against left-handed pitching this season, batting .252 against southpaws, which puts additional pressure on Cameron early in this matchup.  Another concern for Kansas City is its bullpen, which has been heavily utilized over the last few games and currently owns a 4.89 ERA. If the Yankees can force Cameron out early, they should have plenty of opportunities to score against a struggling Royals bullpen late in the game. While New York’s offense has gone through stretches of inconsistency recently, this is still a lineup filled with talent, and historically they’ve matched up extremely well against the Royals. With Cole back on the mound and the Yankees bats showing signs of life again, I expect New York to complete the sweep, making them my best bet of the day.

Yankees vs Royals prediction: Yankees ML  (-155) at the time of publishing. Playable up to – 170.
