Cardinals vs Brewers Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
MIL Brewers Win(-150)

The St. Louis Cardinals will look to salvage the final game of their series against the Milwaukee Brewers after being outscored 11-1 through the first two games. Taking the mound for the Cardinals will be Dustin May who enters with a 3-5 record, 5.00 ERA, and a 1.43 WHIP through 10 starts this season. For the Brewers, they’ll hand the ball to Chad Patrick, who has primarily worked out of the bullpen but will make his fifth start of the year. Patrick enters with a 2-2 record, 2.63 ERA, and a 1.20 WHIP.

Offensively, the Brewers have been far more productive recently. Over their last 10 games, Milwaukee is averaging 4.5 runs per game and hitting .265, compared to the Cardinals who are averaging 3.5 runs per game and hitting .228. The Cardinals have now dropped five of its last six games, and this matchup doesn’t appear favorable with May struggling to find consistency on the mound. May hasn’t earned a victory since April 21st, and it’s difficult to trust him against a Brewers lineup that has been swinging the bats well lately. Milwaukee also holds a major edge in the bullpen department, posting a 3.34 bullpen ERA, while the Cardinals since at 4.37. Even if May performs well on the mound, the Brewers will have their opportunity to strike late in the game against a weak Cardinals pen. With the Brewers holding the advantage offensively, in the bullpen, and on the mound overall, I’m expecting the Brewers to complete the sweep this afternoon on their home field.

Cardinals vs Brewers prediction: Brewers ML  (-150) at the time of publishing. Playable up to – 170.
