Blue Jays vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
NY Yankees Win(-180)

The New York Yankees managed to escape with a win in their first two games of their series against the Toronto Blue Jays despite having a scare in the ninth inning in both of those games. Tonight, the Yankees will look for a quality star from Cam Schlittler who has been fantastic on the season, entering with a 6-1 record and a 1.35 ERA. For the Blue Jays, Trey Yesavage will get the nod, entering with a 1-1 record and a 1.40 ERA.

Offensively, both teams have been putting up runs on the board in this series, which is great news for both clubs. The Yankees have to be pleased with Anthony Volpe’s return who is batting .357 in five games and Jazz Chisholm is hitting .474 with a home run in that same span. For the Blue Jays, Daulton Varsho has been their best player, batting .500 in his last five games while Vladimir Guerrero continues to struggle, batting .158 in that span. Both starters have been terrific this season, but I trust Cam a lot more than I do Yesavage in this matchup. Cam pounds the strike zone, limits walks compared to Yesavage who doesn’t have as much control, walking eight batters in 19.1 innings pitched. At the end of the day, the biggest concern for the Yankees is their bullpen, but I think they’ll hold on in this one and rally behind Cam.

Blue Jays vs Yankees prediction: Yankees ML (-180) at the time of publishing. Playable up to – 190.
