Oklahoma City Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 05/28/26

The champs responded just like the champs were supposed to in Game 5, as they took a 3-2 lead with a 127-114 win. After scoring just 38 pts in the first half of Game 4, the Thunder dropped 69 in Tuesday’s game almost doubling their output. Along with the standard 32 pts from SGA, they once again got huge contributions from Caruso (22 pts) and McCain (20 pts). Being undermanned in a game where the series lead is on the line brings the best out of these Thunder players, Tuesday’s win was their 10th straight playoff win following a loss. They are now just one win away from joining the Knicks in the NBA Finals, that stat I mentioned earlier could be the key as the Spurs now have to win back-to-back games to advance.

Game 6 might just be the biggest game of the careers of a lot of Spurs players, who just don’t have the experience playing in a game with such high stakes. If we are being honest, they were never in a position to get the win in Game 5, leading for just 17% of that game. Victor Wembanyama once again failed to live up to the high expectations set in front of him, finishing with just 20 points and 6 rebounds. San Antonio’s perimeter shot was also held to just 29%, for a team that relies on that area of play quite a lot that is problematic. With their backs against the wall in Game 6, we once again have to look at their superstar Wembanyama to set the tone. In my opinion the only way San Antonio extends this series is if they can showcase their defensive ability like they did in Game 4 when they held the Thunder to just 82 points.

If you are the Thunder, you are going into Game 6 with a lot of optimism despite it being a road game. They’ve now won 3 of 4 games in this series, putting up at least 122 pts in each of those 3 wins. They’re just the deeper and more experienced team; I think they go all out and try to eliminate the Spurs on Thursday. You don’t want to give a team that’s down extra life, one injury to SGA in Game 7 and this series completely shifts. I’m going for a Thunder win in this one.
