The first week of the new NBA season is almost over, but before it’s done we get a 7-game slate coming our way.  So far on the season we are 10-5 on our NBA player props, and we are hoping to land a few more winners with Sunday’s games!

As always, be sure to check our NBA predictions for picks on the side and total on each of the 7 games being played tonight.

Let’s take a look at my favorite player prop pets now.

Zion Williamson over 7.5 rebounds vs Utah Jazz (+104)

It’s been an encouraging start to the season for Zion Williamson so far as his Pelicans are 2-0 on the year and he is putting up 20.5 points and 7 rebounds per game. Both of their games were against high-tempo teams in Brooklyn and Charlotte, but tonight they go up against a Utah Jazz squad who have seen their games end with 225 and 258 points, so it could be another one of those run-and-gun games.

More often than not those type of games result in a higher number of rebounds and that’s why I like Zion to grab at least 8 of them. The fact that he is averaging 2.5 offensive rebounds per game means that he is very active on both ends and against a Jazz team that has traded away Rudy Gobert there will be plenty of offensive rebounding opportunities. Utah ranks only 17th in the NBA in opponent rebounds per game allowing 54 a night. With the Pelicans grabbing 65.5 a night as a team (2nd best in the NBA) I think Zion has a solid chance to land our bet.

Karl-Anthony Towns 3+ made threes vs OKC Thunder (-106)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are struggling to defend the 3-point line. After 2 games they rank only 24th in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage, allowing 39.5% of makes. On Friday against the Nuggets they allowed Denver to make 20 threes from 38 attempts, a worrying stat ahead of tonight’s game.

The Timberwolves and Thunder have already played once. Towns went just 2-for-10 from the field in that game and both of those made shots were from distance. I am expecting him to bounce back in tonight’s game as he continues to jell with new teammate Rudy Gobert. In his last 10 games vs the Thunder he has scored at least 3 threes on 4 occasions, look for him to have a solid night offensively.

Klay Thompson 4+ made threes vs SAC Kings (+235)

Klay Thompson just loves playing the Sacramento Kings for some reason. Prior to his injury in the 2019 NBA Finals he had a streak of at least 3 made threes in 7 consecutive regular-season games against the Kings. That didn’t change after his injury either as he drained 7 of 9 shots from distance in his first game back against Sacramento.

In 32 career games against them he is making 3.5 shots from beyond-the-arc per game on 42.7% efficiency. The Kings are off to a bad start defending the 3-point line. So far in 2 games this season opponents are connecting on 40% of their shots from distance against them and there’s no doubt in my mind Klay will take advantage of this. In the games against the Lakers and Nuggets he averaged 3 makes per game from deep, and I think it’s time for a breakout scoring game against his favorite opponent.
