The 2023 Western Conference Finals got off to the same start as the Eastern Conference Finals – with a team taking a 2-0 lead. Vegas was able to win each of the first 2 matchups on home ice and both were overtime wins. Now the series shifts to Dallas, where Jason Robertson and the Stars will be looking to get their first win.
The Stars have been a solid home team, so a 2-2 series heading back to Vegas wouldn’t be a shock. However, given how we’ve already seen 2 overtime games, predicting a winner may not be your preferred approach. With that in mind, we have our top NHL player prop for tonight’s Game 3.

When it comes to the Stars, it’s primarily Robertson that gets most of the headlines and he has come through for us countless times over the last 2 seasons. However, today we’re focused on Dallas captain Jamie Benn. After a slow year last season, the 33-year-old had a resurgence in 2022-23. Benn had the 2nd-most points on the team with 78 and has come up clutch several times in the playoffs.
A perfect example of that was in Game 1 of this series as Benn had the game-tying goal that sent things into overtime. The captain has also provided a great balance of goals and assists, with 33 and 45 respectively this season. In other words, we’re getting great value on his overall point prop. That is amplified even more so with Game 3 being on home ice for him. We can also look back on how Benn performed against Vegas in the regular season, when he had 3 points in 3 games against them. With the Stars needing this win more than ever, I’m backing Jamie Benn to record a point.
