Thursday Night Football in Week 2 has bettors salivating at the chance to get into Detroit Lions vs Buffalo Bills. Both teams are coming off narrow victories in Week 1, and the offensive output did not disappoint. Josh Allen and company went into Houston and put up 36 points on arguably the best defense in the league. The Lions squeaked out an OT victory over the Saints at Ford Field. The total this week sits at a healthy 54.5, and the Lions are getting +4.5 points. I'm excited to see how both offenses handle an "open door" approach to the opposing defenses, and my suspicion is that whoever wins the turnover battle will come out on top.

This is one of the few instances where the off-season hype matched the play on the field right out of the gate. Williams was believed to become more of a WR1B this season, and his nine targets in Week 1 proved just that; it would have been tied for his second-most targets of the 2025 season. Despite the nine targets, Williams only hauled in four receptions for 45 yards.
What makes me bullish on Williams in Week 2 is that he had 36% first-read target share (vs 18.6% in 2025). They are actively trying to get him the ball this season, and the Bills' defense gave up 160 air yards compared to the Saints' 109. On the alt-line of 50, this is a 1.5u play for me in what we all expect to be a shootout.

A rare 1u touchdown prop from me, but with a total sitting at 54.5, it's hard not to get a little more aggressive than usual. I was high on LaPorta last week in the red zone and he only mildly disappointed - no, he didn't score, but he did see two red-zone targets. One of the red-zone targets sailed just about six inches above his hands for what would have been an easy touchdown.
I see Jahmyr Gibbs getting eight red-zone carries and 34 total touches in Week 1 and can only assume Dan Campbell is smart enough to realize this is not sustainable, especially on a short week. Expect Goff to have more red-zone pass attempts in Week 2, as the Bills were balanced in giving up two rushing and two receiving TDs in Week 1. This is a boom-or-bust look, but well worth it in this spot.
