Best sportsbook promotions and odds boosts for Tuesday: CONCACAF Gold Cup, MLB All-Star Game and The Open Championship
There are very few sports taking place today with only the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the MLB All-Star Game. However, there are still a few promotions and boosts on offer that you can look to take advantage of.
We’ve put together a list of all of the day’s best boosts, which happen to be from DraftKings Sportsbook, PointsBet Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook, and whether they are worth playing. Let’s dive in.
Panama to score first and to win (Boosted to +155), DraftKings Sportsbook
Panama and Qatar will battle tonight in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Group D and while Panama is the favorite, do not count out Qatar. They are solid defensively, so a low-scoring game should be expected. Our experts actually like Qatar to pull off the small upset because of their defense, so backing this odds boost should likely be avoided. Stay tuned to all our CONCACAF picks throughout the tournament.
American League to score 5+ runs and to win (Boosted to +155), DraftKings Sportsbook
The American League has won seven times in a row, but we are not as confident in their ability tonight. The National League has much more offensive talent this season, plus they have plenty of great pitching options to turn to in a tight game. For that reason, this looks to be an odds boost to avoid. Check out our full game preview for this years’ All-Star Game.
3+ home runs hit in 2021 All-Star game (Boosted to +450), DraftKings Sportsbook
The Home Run Derby was electric last night, and there is no reason that we should not expect at least this many home runs in the game. Despite the elite pitching that these batters will face, there is too much power on both sides to believe a couple guys will not go deep. At this price, this odds boost looks to be a very solid play. Check out our full game preview for this years’ All-Star Game.
15+ total runs scored in the 2021 All-Star game (Boosted to +320), FanDuel Sportsbook
All-Star games tend to be high-scoring in any sport and the fact that they are in Colorado could lead to that trend tonight as well. However, we have so many elite pitching threats that expecting this many runs might be too much to ask. Jacob deGrom is not even playing in the All-Star game, but Max Scherzer will start for the National League, and that should be enough to keep the American League at bay for the start of the game. Shohei Ohtani will start for the American League and he also has what it takes to shut down the National League at least for a few innings. It is likely we will get some runs, but 15 is too many, so this looks to be an odds boost worth avoiding. Check out our full game preview for this years’ All-Star Game.
Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas to both finish top 10 (Boosted to +800), PointsBet Sportsbook
The British Open Championship starts on Thursday and here we are looking at two guys who will need to finish in the top 10. Jordan Spieth has been very solid this season and has eight top-ten finishes. He already has a win in the Open Championship in his career and tends to play well in these events.
Justin Thomas is another guy who is having a great season. He has five top tens and most recently finished sixth at the Scottish Open. Both of these guys could be near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday. For that reason, I would consider this odds boost as a small play.
