Phenomenal Woman has demonstrated plenty of ability in stronger maiden claiming races, including when 4 lengths 2nd in a $25,000 contest at Belmont Park last month, when she attempted to make virtually all the running.
The drop in grade today is a positive and the daughter of Mucho Macho Man is taken to make her first appearance at this track a winning one with Andrew Wolfsont booked for the ride.
Jim’s Bronze Star took 17 attempts to break her maiden, with that success coming in a $25,000 maiden claimer at Tampa Bay Downs in February. But she hasn’t looked back since, completing a hat-trick for handler Robert R O’Connor II when making all to win by 1 3/4 lengths in a $30,000 claimer over 6 furlongs at Monmouth Park last month.
She has a top jockey in Paco Lopez up once more and looks capable of making all to register a victory having drawn the rail.
