The MLB season is officially in full swing, and it’s that special time of year when every team’s dreams are still alive. We’ve got a nice big slate on Wednesdy, and one of the best games is this NL heavyweight clash between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. It should be a great one, broadcasted wide by ESPN.

What better way to celebrate this nationally televised game than by betting a same game parlay? We’ve also got thoughts on the side and total, which you can find out in our full game preview.

We cashed yesterday’s MLB same game parlay at +1253 odds, let’s do it again!!

Los Angeles Dodgers -2.5 (+165)

Kris Bryant to record 2+ hits (+340)

Parlay odds: +1384

Keeping things simple with another two-leg parlay here, just like yesterday, one which pays out north of 13/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. We get a huge odds boost by combining a big Dodgers win with a big game from Bryant, when I don’t think it conflicts at all. Let me explain:

Los Angeles Dodgers -2.5 (+165)

The Dodgers have been a big disappointment the past few weeks, but at least the offense has mostly woken up. They’ve shown flashes of being the historic unit we thought they’d be, like in their 16-4 win over Milwaukee on Sunday. Los Angeles has struggled but it’s not like the Cubs have been much better. Chicago is just 4-7 in their last 11 games. The Dodgers’ uncharacteristic slump has created some value in the market.

You likely won’t be able to get them at prices this low very long. They also have a huge edge on the mound here, with Walker Buehler facing off against Adbert Alzolay. Alzolay has only 10 big league starts under his belt, and he has a 4.71 ERA through four 2021 outings. Buehler on the other hand has been one of the National League’s best pitchers for the past few years. He’s only given up more than two runs once in five starts, and has incredibly only walked two batters all season. The Dodgers should win this one big.

Kris Bryant to record 2+ hits (+340)

This doesn’t conflict much, since I’m expecting a big game from the Dodgers’ offense. We can afford some success from Chicago’s lineup, and if anyone is going to have it, it’ll be Bryant. Getting +340 here feels like an absolute steal when you dig into it. Bryant has been on an absolute tear, and is hitting .320 with a 1.102 OPS. He was hitting .220 through the first couple weeks of the season, which shows you how hot he’s been the last couple weeks.

He’s recorded at least two hits in six of his past 12 games, so getting +340 here is absurd. +340 odds implies a win probability of only 22.7 percent. The Cubs went only 3-3 in those six games he had multiple hits. This also kind of correlates with the Dodgers winning, since it ensures the Cubs will bat in the ninth if Los Angeles is leading. Finally, Bryant is 3/6 in his career against Buehler, so I’m not concerned about the matchup.
