Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 over Pittsburgh Pirates (-120)

Taking the mound for the Dodgers will be Tyler Glasnow, who is 6-3 this season with a 3.04 ERA. Glasnow has not won a game since May 4 and he’ll be looking to get back on track against a struggling Pirates team. Despite his recent struggles, Glasnow has struck out 95 batters in just 74 innings pitched, while walking just 21. Facing Glasnow will be the right-hander Jared Jones, who is 3-5 this season with a 3.55 ERA. Jones struggled in his last start, giving up 5 earned runs and 5 hits against the Tigers in just 4.1 innings pitched.

Over the last 15 days, both the Dodgers and Pirates are almost identical in hitting. The Dodgers have a team batting average of .249, OBP of .305 and have scored 44 runs in 12 games. As for the Pirates, they have a .244 team batting average, a .303 OBP and have scored 59 runs in 11 games. The biggest difference here is the pitching, and Glasnow is a way more effective pitcher than Jones, plus the Pirates bullpen has a 4.44 ERA this season while the Dodgers bullpen has a 3.07 ERA. The Dodgers should be able to comfortably outscore the Pirates and cover the run line to give us a good start to our MLB parlay picks.

New York Yankees -1.5 over Minnesota Twins (+112)

The Twins are getting ready to take on the red-hot New York Yankees for a 3-game series. The Twins played the Yankees back in May and were swept, with New York outscoring them 14-1. Today, the Twins will be looking for revenge against the Yankees and hope to continue their hot streak. Taking the mound in tonight’s game for the Twins will be Bailey Ober, who is 5-3 this season with a 4.89 ERA. In Ober’s last start, he gave up 6 earned runs on 9 hits in just 5 innings pitched against the Royals. Taking the mound for the Yankees will be Luis Gil, who is 7-1 this season with a 1.99 ERA. In Gil’s last start, he threw 8 solid innings against the Angels, giving up just 1 earned run and striking out 9. Given what we’ve seen already this season and difference in quality between the pitchers, this should be another big win for the Yankees.

Boston Red Sox ML over Atlanta Braves (+140)

The Atlanta Braves travel to Boston on Tuesday to face the Red Sox as both teams have been struggling recently. Both teams are 4-6 in their last 10 but are putting 2 quality starters on the mound. I like Boston here at plus-money odds as the Braves have not won 2 games in a row since May 23 and are coming off a win. Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford (3.29 ERA) has been having a decent season so far, which is helped by his excellent fastball. Although his fastball only sits around 92-93 mph, it has a run value of 95 — a near-perfect metric. This should bode well for Crawford as the Braves are middle of the league in batting average against fastballs from right-handed pitchers at .237. The Braves have stalled since Ronald Acuna was ruled out for the season and we’re getting great value on the Red Sox here, so let’s round off our MLB parlay by backing them to take down Atlanta.
