New Year’s Eve is traditionally a busy day in the NBA and this year is no exception with 20 teams hitting the hardwood. It all starts early in Boston where the Celtics entertain the Phoenix Suns at 1pm ET.

I landed my SECOND same game parlay winner of the week last night at +920 odds on the 76ers vs. Nets game. I’m going at it again today with the Suns vs Celtics matchup. You can find the same game parlay below, but also don’t forget our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Friday’s 10-game slate.

Let’s dive in!

Jaylen Brown to Score 30+ Points (+152)

Chris Paul to Record 10+ Assists (+168)

Marcus Smart Over 1.5 Made Threes (+102)

Parlay odds: +1176

Jaylen Brown to Score 30+ Points (+152)

With Jayson Tatum and Dennis Schroder in health and safety protocols, the Celtics will be stripped of 41.9 points per game and their first and third-leading scorers. Someone else will have to step up and I’m expecting Brown to have a big game here. His averages have gone up tremendously over the past 8 games. He is averaging close to 26 points per game which is an increase of more than 5 points compared to what he normally scores. He’s had 3 games of 30 or more points in his last 6 outings and going up against a talented offensive scorer like Devin Booker you just know he will want to show off a bit. Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee not playing also helps him a lot as he will be able to drive the ball to the basket a lot more than normal.

Chris Paul to Record 10+ Assists (+168)

CP3 is averaging 9.8 assists per game this season and against the Celtics he has already had a game of 12 assists this season. In his last game against the Thunder, he played just 32 minutes in a blowout win at home, while in the game prior to that he had 13 assists against Memphis. I’m expecting today’s game to be much more competitive, so he should get some extra playing time which should naturally result in more assist opportunities. In his last 2 games against Boston he’s averaging 10 assists. With their 2 main centers out, the Suns will be forced to play a faster pace here, so the point total will go up in this one I think. Expect Paul to get to double-digits fairly easily here.

Marcus Smart Over 1.5 Made Threes (+102)

In his last game, Smart played 40 minutes and drained 3 of 10 shots from three-point land. I’m expecting similar numbers tonight as he will be the main ball handler with Schroder still being out. Over his last 5 games, he has scored 2 threes on 3 occasions and against the Suns he is averaging 3 threes per game in the last 7 meetings. One of the Suns’ elite defenders, Jae Crowder, might not play here, so that’s a big plus for our bet. As a team the Celtics are averaging just 99.3 points per game in their last 3, I’m expecting a bounce-back game tonight and Smart will be one of the leaders along with Brown on the offensive end.
