The Brooklyn Nets are back in action on Wednesday as they travel to the Washington Wizards. Playing on the road means that Kyrie Irving is available and tip-off is set for 7:00 pm ET. I’ve prepared a same game parlay that Irving is a part of.

Continue reading below to see the parlay, but also make sure to check our predictions on the side and total for the rest of today’s slate.

Let’s get into it!

Brooklyn Nets ML (+106)

Kyrie Irving over 24.5 points (-112)

Kyle Kuzma to score 25+ points (+360)

Parlay odds: +1789

Brooklyn Nets ML (+106)

The Nets have been hit-and-miss over their last 5 games, exchanging wins and losses on a nightly basis. They are coming off a 7-point road loss at Cleveland, however on the road they’ve been dominant lately, winning 12 of 15 games. Exactly a week ago they demolished the East-leading Chicago Bulls 138-112 on the road and I think they are capable of pulling off an upset against a team that’s covered in just 1 of their last 5 home games. You don’t often get to back the Nets as underdogs, so be sure to make the most of tonight’s opportunity. This team has won 4 of 6 games in the underdog role this season and on the road they are 15-5 SU in 20 games.

Kyrie Irving over 24.5 points (-112)

With 10 of their next 13 games being on the road, this will be a perfect opportunity for Kyrie Irving to build some chemistry with the rest of his teammates. Brooklyn just lost Kevin Durant to an injury which should keep him out for at least a month, so I’m expecting an increase in production from both Irving and Harden in the coming weeks.

Kyrie hasn’t shown any signs of rust in the 4 games he has played since coming back, he is averaging 20 points per game on almost 48% shooting from the field and 36% from downtown. In his last game vs the Cavs he dropped 27 points and in the 3 most recent meetings with Washington he has scored 28, 26 and 30 points. If we expand that to the last 7 games, he has scored Over 24.5 Points in 5 of those. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went over 30 in this one, but let’s back Over 24.5 for extra security.

Kyle Kuzma to score 25+ points (+360)

Kyle Kuzma has been on quite a run since the new year has started, improving his average by almost 10 points per game. Over his last 10 outings he’s averaging 24.1 points per game on 53% shooting from the field, while also collecting 12.1 rebounds per game. Dating back to New Year’s Eve, he has scored 25 or more points in 5 games and, facing a sub-par defender in James Harden tonight, I can definitely see him having another solid night.

Brooklyn not having Durant also works in Kuzma’s favor, as it’s one less elite defender he has to worry about and he will also save a lot of energy as he won’t have to chase KD around all night. Wizards games have trended towards the over lately, with 9 of their last 13 cashing on that bet, so if that’s the case in tonight’s game as well, Kuzma will have to carry a huge load offensively.
