After Day 3 of March Madness I am 2-1 in my player props for the tournament. All eyes will be on Fairleigh Dickinson vs Florida Atlantic this evening in the unlikely matchup of a #16 vs #9 seed. My fellow New Jersey betters would agree that not being able to bet on FDU is crushing, but they will at least have our rooting interest. I believe UConn (-3.5) will roll over St. Mary’s and Michigan State (+3.5) can pull off the upset over Marquette. Let’s look at my favorite player props for today.

AJ Hoggard is averaging 6 assists per game and has hit this line in 60% of games this season. When he plays 30+ minutes, he has hit this line in 78% of games. The Spartans are taking on Marquette, who are abysmal against assist lines. They allow an assist on 58% of made field goals, which ranks 332nd in the nation, and they allow 15 assists per game, ranked 329th overall. I believe Hoggard will hit that 30-minute mark tonight as the Spartans pull off an upset. 1U

This is an absurd line for any college player to have, but Jackson-Davis may warrant it. He’s had 24+ points in 5 straight games and a double-double in 2 straight. I favor the Hurricanes to put an end to it, though. Miami ranks 49th in the nation in Opp Total RPG and their size in the wing/forward positions should give Jackson-Davis a tough out tonight. In an interview this weekend, Jackson-Davis said that Indiana prefers games in the 60s, not the 70s or 80s, and I believe he wants to slow down the pace of this game, giving credence to the under. 0.5U

Aidan Mahaney is moving up in weight class tonight against the UConn Huskies. He has benefited all season, shooting exceptionally well from 3-point range (40%), but the Huskies are ranked 19th in the nation in opponent 3-point percentage (30.4%). Against other teams ranked in the top 40 in that category, Mahaney posted 9 against North Texas and 0 against VCU. This is the lowest team total of the day (126.5) and I like the under on Mahaney. 1U
