You probably have multiple Thanksgiving traditions, but digesting a feast while watching football is hopefully on the list. As usual there are 3 NFL games to watch on Thursday, and as usual the Dallas Cowboys are part of the festivities. They will face the New York Giants in an NFC East rivalry showdown for the middle contest of the 3-game slate. It’s most definitely a crucial contest with both teams firmly in playoff contention.

Below is our SGP for , and also be sure to check out our full New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys picks on the side and total.

Giants +7.5 alternate spread (+102)

Saquon Barkley to score 2+ touchdowns (+500)

Parlay odds: +735

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Saquon Barkley finding the endzone at least twice would obviously work well with New York keeping this one close. Let’s break down each of the SGP legs.

Giants +7.5 alternate spread over Cowboys (+102)

It is true that the Cowboys are fresh off a dominant performance in a win over the Vikings, while the Giants were embarrassed on their home field against the Lions. Backing a team to bounce back after not covering in the previous week while simultaneously fading a team that covered by a massive margin is a consistent angle that has been profitable for years now in the NFL. This matchup should be no exception. New York is a team that isn’t all that strong as a favorite but has thrived in the underdog role. It all starts with the quarterback position. Daniel Jones is 14-5 against the spread as a road underdog in his career, as he’s consistently played better away from MetLife Stadium throughout his tenure in New York. The Giants’ running game has been the engine behind its offense, which will come into play against a Cowboys defense that is ranked 26th in opponent yards per carry and 24th in rush yards allowed this season. Dallas can get after the quarterback with its terrific pass rush, but this Giants passing game emphasizes getting the ball out of Jones’ hands quickly anyway, so that should neutralize some of the effectiveness of Micah Parsons and company. Don’t be surprised if the visitors keep this within a touchdown.

Saquon Barkley to score 2+ touchdowns (+500)

As mentioned above, the Cowboys’ pass rush and passing defense as a whole is dominant more often than not. They can, however, be susceptible to the run. As such, Barkley should be in line for a big day; and he will absolutely have to be if the Giants want to compete. The former Penn State standout went for 81 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting between the 2 teams this season while also adding 45 receiving yards. He has scored 6 TDs in 2022 and has reached paydirt in 4 of the last 6 contests. In a standalone national TV game against a vulnerable run defense and following a subpar performance that should have him especially motivated to rebound from, Barkley could go wild on Thursday.
