The Cubs and Phillies have traded lopsided wins so far this weekend, with the Cubs winning 10-1 on Friday and the Phillies 12-3 on Saturday. Despite those results, there are 2 offenses who have struggled to produce runs consistently.
The Phillies will have to hit against Justin Steele, who is a tough lefty, and the Phillies are one of the league’s bottom offenses against lefty pitching. The Cubs will face Taijuan Walker, one of the most groundball heavy pitchers in the league. Given that both teams have inconsistent offenses, the starting pitchers today should be able to go deep into this game without too much damage done. For that reason, backing the under is the move.

The Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights get set to play Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The key for Dallas this afternoon is Jake Oettinger. We know that he’s a good goalie, but his 2.83 GAA and .902 SV% are just not going to cut it at this stage of the playoffs.
Vegas has a strong offense, but is dead last on the power play, while Dallas is 5th in this category. Given the urgency Dallas is likely to show to avoid going down 2-0, backing the Stars to bounce back and steal a game on the road is the way to go.
