Wise n' Shine: College football best bets, NBA and NHL predictions for Wednesday, November 16

Good morning, Pickswise Nation. We have a lot going on with action in college football, college basketball, NBA and NHL! It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get right to it and make your next bet better with Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Big Blue blunder in college basketball
Ranked the #4 team in the country, Kentucky fell to Michigan State 86-77 in double overtime. It’s been a wild ride to start the college basketball season, but our experts are still going well after going 2-1 on best bets last night to take our record to 5-2.

Our NBA handicappers almost hit perfection with 9-1 night
Similar to Luka Doncic, our NBA handicappers couldn’t be stopped last night. They finished 4-1 on sides and 5-0 on totals! Our totals picks are now on an 11-1 run, so don’t miss all of today’s NBA picks.

Today’s Slate

College football midweek action
Yesterday, we were treated to 2 college football games, but today we get 3! Eastern Michigan vs Kent State starts the night, while Western Michigan vs Central Michigan will conclude the action. Check out our college football picks.

Action continues in the NBA
We’re back to a bigger-sized slate in the NBA tonight. There are 10 games tipping off with featured matchups including the Celtics visiting the Hawks, the Knicks heading to mile high to play the Nuggets, and the Warriors traveling to the desert to take on the Suns. Check out all of our NBA picks as we look to build on last night’s 9-1 performance.

Smaller day on the ice
There are just 3 NHL games happening tonight as teams recover from the 9-game slate on Monday. The Sabres and Senators kick things off first and the Kings and Oilers finish the night with a 10:00 pm ET puck drop. Don’t miss any of our NHL picks.

More madness in college basketball
After a big night in college basketball yesterday, the action continues on Wednesday with several important matchups, headlined by Gonzaga visiting Texas. You can find out our college basketball predictions for tonight.

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAF: Northern Illinois -1.5 (-110) over Miami Ohio
7:00 pm ET, CBS

Not only is Northern Illinois playing at home, which helps, but Miami (OH) is most vulnerable on the ground. The Huskies should focus heavily on their rushing attack, and the RedHawks are not great at stopping the run. Additionally, it’s supposed to be cold, windy and maybe a little wet—that should most definitely favor the team that runs the ball more effectively. Northern Illinois should have enough to get the job done at home here. See our full Miami Ohio vs Northern Illinois predictions.
