Welcome to another super Saturday of sports! We have a huge day with MLB playoff action, Week 6 of the college football season and an NHL game, plus EPL soccer, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Drama as MLB playoffs begin
The Guardians, Phillies, Mariners and Padres were winners on the opening day of the MLB playoffs, which means the Rays, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Mets are facing win-or-go-home games today. The Phillies scored 6 runs in the 9th inning to beat the Phillies 6-3, while Max Scherzer picked a bad night to have a bad game as the Padres beat the Mets 7-1. The Mets have the shortest odds of the 4 beaten teams to turn their series around and win 2-1, at +180 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook, while the Blue Jays are +198 odds to win back-to-back games over the Mariners.

Great start to the NHL season for Pickswise
The NHL season could not have started much better for our NHL team as we hit the Predators ML and under 6 in the opening game as Nashville beat San Jose 4-1 in Prague. We also cashed our Same Game Parlay on the matchup at +400 odds!

Cougars grab stunning comeback win
The Houston Cougars scored 2 touchdowns in the final 77 seconds of their game against the Memphis Tigers to come back from 32-19 down to win 33-32. Nevada was another losing favorite, beaten 17-14 by Colorado State, but San Jose State made no mistake, crushing UNLV 40-7.

Best Bet of the Day

CFB: UCLA Bruins+4.5 over Utah Utes
3:30 pm ET, FOX

The Utes have averaged 46 points per game on offense and have allowed just under 11 points per game on defense in the last 4 games, but the unbeaten Bruins are scoring 41 points per game and allowing just 20, while having the 6th-best run defense in the nation. Utah may be a little overvalued and was outgained by Oregon State. The Utes’ offense hasn’t scored more than 35 points except against Southern Utah, and UCLA can take away the thing that Utah does best — running the football. UCLA is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games as a home ‘dog and head coach Chip Kelly could even get a big-time win at home. Read our full Utah vs UCLA predictions.
