Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another wonderful day of sports. It’s Election Day in the United States so the schedule is lighter than usual, but we still have the continued start of the college basketball season, plus more NHL action. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Ravens fly high in Monday Night Football
The Baltimore Ravens entered the Superdome without a number of key contributors on both sides of the ball, but that didn’t deter them on Monday Night Football. Led by Lamar Jackson, the Ravens emerged with a key road win against the Saints, improving to 6-3 on the season in the process. The win ensured that Baltimore would retain control of the AFC North while keeping the top seed in the AFC in its sights. Our props expert Prop Holliday also cashed both his picks for the night to go 6-0 in primetime games this week!

Full slate of NBA action
With the NBA standing pat on Tuesday due to Election Day in the United States, we had a massive Monday slate with tons of intriguing matchups. Our top team of handicappers went 3-1 on NBA best bets to put us on a 6-1 run! The biggest storyline on the hardwood was the Milwaukee Bucks finally dropping their first game of the season to the Atlanta Hawks, who improved to 7-3 with the victory.

College basketball returns
After a 7-month hiatus, the college basketball season returned with over 100 games on Monday. Among the teams who won convincingly were Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan, Duke and Baylor. Our team of college basketball experts got off to a great start too as we went 7-4 on our picks and cashed our +628 NCAAB parlay!

Today’s Slate

Massive NHL slate on tap
Monday was a quiet night in the NHL, but we’ve got a full slate of games today. The marquee matchup of the night pits the Edmonton Oilers against the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 pm ET. Other games include the Rangers vs Islanders, Golden Knights vs Maple Leafs and Wild vs Kings. Read today’s NHL picks.

NCAAB continues
The long road to March Madness is finally here. Monday marked the start of the college basketball season, and the opening week continues on Tuesday with a number of high-profile teams in action, including Purdue, Georgetown and Providence. Read today’s NCAAB predictions.

Best Bet of the Day

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning ML over Edmonton Oilers (-140)
7:30 pm ET

The Oilers lost each of their last 2 home games before leaving Edmonton. After a close 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils, they were smashed by the Dallas Stars by a final score of 6-2. The Stars are far from an offensive juggernaut, which speaks to the Oilers’ goaltending woes. That means being on the second night of a back-to-back affects that even more. They’ve used both Stuart Skinner and former-Leaf Jack Campbell, and neither have been impressive. Therefore, it’s no surprise that they’re allowing the 9th-most goals per game so far this season. That’s likely to get even worse with the Oilers taking on Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and the Lightning. Check out our full Oilers vs Lightning predictions.
