There’s a super Saturday of sports ahead of us today with college football, the MLB playoffs, NHL, EPL, MLS, and UFC all happening. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Astros take lead against Red Sox
The Houston Astros saw their World Series odds lowered to +180 from +220 by FanDuel Sportsbook after winning Game 1 of their ALCS against the Boston Red Sox. Boston had led 3-1, but homers by Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa gave the home team a 5-4 victory. The Red Sox are out to +600 odds for the World Series (from +450). Houston is -270 to reach the Fall Classic with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Underdogs shine in CFB games
Underdogs and unders was the way to go on Friday night college football as the favorites flopped in all 3 of the games we previewed and none of the games reached the stated total. That was good news for Pickswise Nation, as our CFB handicappers went 5-1 on the sides and totals, picking all 3 games to go under and getting behind Syracuse (+14.5) and California (+13.5) to cover.

Today’s Slate

Dodgers, Braves begin NL Championship Series
The NLCS begins in Atlanta tonight (8:07pm ET, TBS). The Dodgers are the largest ever LCS favorites not to have home advantage, beating the previous mark that belonged to the 1986 Mets, who were -175 against the Astros. The Dodgers are priced at -220 with FanDuel to beat the Braves in their best-of-7 series. The Braves and Red Sox play Game 2 in Houston. Read our previews of today’s MLB games here.

Get set for another crazy day of college football
The Week 7 NCAAF slate includes some great games including No. 1 Georgia taking on another 6-0 team, Kentucky, (CBS, 3:30pm ET), and Alabama against Mississippi State (ESPN, 7pm ET). Check out our previews of today’s CFB games here.

NHL, soccer, UFC
Saturday’s schedule also features a host of high-quality contests in other sports. You can read today’s NHL game previews here, and we also have great soccer advice for the EPL and MLS and expert previews for UFC Fight Night 195.

Best Bet of the Day

Michigan State Spartans -4.5 at Indiana Hoosiers
Noon ET, FS1

The Spartans have gone on the road 3 times already this season, and have won and covered in every game. Overall, they are 4-0-2 ATS this year. Indiana has covered only once this campaign in 5 tries, against a bad Idaho team in Week 2. A trap game is possible, but Michigan State is clearly the better team, and should win by at least a touchdown. Take the Spartans. Read our full game preview for Michigan State at Indiana.

Boost of the Day

Trea Turner or Mookie Betts to hit a home run

The Dodgers made it safely to the NLCS after fighting back from 2-1 down to the Giants, and FanDuel Sportsbook has enhanced the odds of either Trea Turner or Mookie Betts scoring a home run in Game 1 against the Braves from +180 to +230.
