The NBA season and the draft may have come on gone, but the Tampa Bay Lightning made sure that the Stanley Cup Finals would still be going on as we wrap up the week on Sunday. Game 6 between the Lightning and Colorado Avalanche is today, along with a full slate of Major League Baseball action in addition to some Major League Soccer games. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s not waste any time and get right to making your next bet better. Here is our latest installment of Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Braves-Dodgers same game parlay cashes at +1206
Pickswise MLB handicapper Keith Schmelter cashed his Braves-Dodgers same game parlay at +1206 odds. Trea Turner delivered a multi-hit performance, the total stayed under 8.5 and there was no run in the first inning. We also nailed our Atlanta money line pick, as the home team prevailed 5-3 thanks to Marcell Ozuna’s two-run blast in the eighth inning before former Dodger Kenley Jansen struck out the side in the ninth.

Our PLL experts go 2-0 against the spread
Week 4 in the Premier Lacrosse League concluded on Sunday, when our experts went 2-0 against the spread. The picks were Cannons +1.5 and Archers +1.5, and both covered right on the number in the form of one-goal losses to the Chrome and Atlas, respectively.

Success on the soccer field
Our Major League Soccer experts went 7-2 on their picks on Saturday, with four of the seven winners at plus money. Among those picks was Inter Miami on the three-way money line, which cashed when the Herons defeated Minnesota 2-1.

Today’s Slate

Colorado has another chance to clinch the cup
Another Stanley Cup Finals game on Sunday night was not expected to happen, as the Avalanche were favored at home on Friday in a potential clinching scenario. However, the Tampa Bay Lightning pulled off a 3-2 road upset to send the series back to Tampa for Game 6. You can find our preview and picks here.

Freeman wraps up return to Atlanta on Sunday Night Baseball
A full 15-game MLB slate features the Braves and Dodgers on ESPN’s Sunday Night Game of the Week. As for the first game of the day, the Phillies are paying a visit to the Marlins at 12:05 pm on Peacock. Check out all of our MLB previews.

Will Ole Miss complete Cinderella CWS run?
Ole Miss was unseeded in the NCAA Tournament but now finds itself one win away from triumphing at the College World Series. The Rebels rolled over Oklahoma 10-3 on Sunday and can clinch the best-of-three set on Sunday afternoon.

Best Bet of the Day

MLS: New York City FC vs Philadelphia Union Under 2.5
6:00 pm ET, ESPN+

Philadelphia tied Cincinnati 1-1 last weekend and seven of its last eight MLS games have finished in a draw. We wouldn’t be surprised by another 1-1 affair on Sunday against NYCFC, and even a 0-0 deadlock wouldn’t be shocking. NYCFC just got shut out by the rival Red Bulls, so its offense is not inspiring much confidence. On the bright side for the visitors, they have allowed only three goals in five away games this season. The Union are giving up a mere 0.5 goals per home contest in 2022. Moreover, the total has stayed under 2.5 in five of the last six head-to-head matchups between these two Eastern Conference clubs.
