Basketball is officially back! The brand new NBA season tips off tonight, and in addition to that we have more MLB playoff action and a 11-game NHL slate to get excited for. Let’s get right into making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Titans beat Bills
We witnessed a wild Monday Night Football game where the Titans prevailed 34-31 over the Bills. It was another huge night for Derrick Henry, who had 143 rushing yards for three touchdowns, while Buffalo has lost its status as the Super Bowl favorite. Check out Andrew Ortenberg’s betting takeaways from MNF.

Red Sox crush Astros, take 2-1 ALCS lead
The ALCS shifted to Boston yesterday and the home crowd certainly loved what they saw, as the Red Sox dominated the Astros to win 12-3 and take a 2-1 lead in the ALCS. The World Series betting market is seeing a new favorite every day at the moment, with the Braves now +200 with FanDuel Sportsbook to win it all. The Red Sox are next at +240, the Dodgers are +290, and the Astros are +340. It’s still wide open.

Today’s Slate

New NBA season tips off tonight!
The wait is finally over and today the new NBA season gets underway! We have two terrific matchups to get excited for, as the NBA championship favorite Brooklyn Nets face the current Larry O’Brien trophy holder Milwaukee Bucks. Then we have a great game out west between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, with both teams looking to make a statement. Check out our predictions or both of those games!

Double-header in MLB Playoffs
We’ve got two LCS games to get excited for today, as the Astros look to get back on track against the Red Sox in Game 4 of the ALCS (8:08pm ET, FS1), while the Dodgers begin their fight to bounce back from a 2-0 deficit when they host the Braves in Game 3 of the NLCS (5:08pm ET, TBS). Read our picks for both of today’s games here.

Eleven-game slate in NHL
While we have two games each in the NBA and MLB, the NHL tops us up with a nice 11-game slate to look forward to–including a huge game between the Islanders and Blackhawks live on ESPN! Find out who we’re picking in each matchup here.

Best Bet of the Day

Montreal Canadiens ML vs San Jose Sharks
7pm ET, ESPN+

Montreal has gotten off to a rough start, losing all three of its games so far, but it should be able to bounce back here. The Habs are due to break out any moment now. Even with their injuries, they have very solid depth that carried them to the Stanley Cup Finals last year. This is a good matchup for them as the Sharks are not as deep. Read our full game preview for Sharks vs Canadiens.
