The Diamondbacks are red-hot lately, winning 3 in a row, and 8 of the past 9 games. They’ll turn to veteran LHP Eduardo Rodriguez to keep the winning going. He didn’t face the Giants in the 3-game sweep in Phoenix from May 18-20, but he won 2-1 in his most recent start against the Colorado Rockies last Thursday. Rodriguez has been a little more giving this season on the road, going 1-1 with a 3.46 ERA, but overall he is 4-1 with a 2.24 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Rodriguez is having an All-Star caliber season.

The Giants counter with RHP Tyler Mahle, who has been an absolute disaster this season, going 1-6 with a 6.10 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. The California native hasn’t been nearly as back at Oracle Park, going 1-2 with a 3.62 ERA with 4 homers allowed across 27 1/3 IP. They’re mediocre numbers, but he does have a high rate of strikeouts, posting 28 Ks in 27 1/3 IP, while teams are hitting just .233 against him in San Francisco, as opposed to .356 on the road. Still, the Diamondbacks should be able to get it done, as Rodriguez baffles the Giants.
