Twins vs White Sox Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
MIN Twins Win(-115)

The Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox will be opening up a four-game series in Chicago on Monday afternoon. The Twins come into Game 1 riding a bit of a heater as they have now won four consecutive games and they are 7-3 in their last 10. The White Sox are coming off back-to-back losses to the San Francisco Giants. Taking the mound for the Twins will be right-hander Zebby Matthews. This will be the third start of Matthews season, and he has been dominant in his first two. He has pitched to a 1.39 ERA in 13.0 innings in those first two starts. It is a small sample, but his season is off to a good start. The White Sox will be countering with Anthony Kay who has been average at best this year. He has a 4.27 ERA in 46.1 innings pitched. He can struggle with command issues at times, so look for him to issue a few free passes to the Twins hitters.

The Twins will have the pitching advantage in this game, and they are also a slightly better offensive team. They average 4.7 runs per game compared to the White Sox who average 4.5 runs per game. With this game being a pick ‘em, I will be taking the Twins.
